For investors

A community building a company.

Binder is a London social platform that turns stated intention into real-world plans, built on a data covenant that rules out advertising, data sales and behavioural profiling. Public release on the App Store and Google Play in October 2026.

Thesis

The opposite premise

The dominant consumer platforms are built to make people more predictable. Engagement recommenders assign a person to a category and escalate whatever keeps them watching. Personal AI extends the same logic: it learns who a person was and is optimised not to surprise them.

Binder is built on the opposite premise. Relevance is computed only from what a person chooses to state, and it changes when they do. Success is measured by plans that happen with real people in real places, not by time on screen. Binder makes its own system explainable, so people do not have to make themselves explainable to use it.

The problem

Intention without infrastructure

Most people do not lack people. They lack a reliable way to turn intention into plans. A plan starts in one group chat, the tickets are shared in another, and the events that would have suited someone sit on platforms they never checked. Our applicants describe organising across four or five tools.

Events

Invitations, not intent

Event platforms handle invitations once a plan exists — not who nearby is interested.
Communities

Groups, not the moment

Community platforms hold groups, but not live, local intent.
Listings

What, not who

Listings publish what is on without knowing who a person would go with.
Product

Live in production

A Signal is a short-lived invitation with a time and a place. When others tap “I’m coming”, a Plan forms automatically, with a group Conversation attached.

Reach

A live map of Signals, Plans, events and venues. It shows activity rather than people, uses an approximate location of around 500 metres, and never tracks location in the background.

Signals, Plans and Conversations

From intention to attendance in three steps, with calendar sync and one-tap plan sharing.

Presence and Orbit

A person's chosen identity and their network of mutual connections, filterable by what each person is open to — so Binder is useful from day one on an existing network.

Communities

Live since 29 September 2026 for scenes, collectives and organisers, with join approval, community builders, announcements and events.

Every account is ID-verified as 18+, with blocking and reporting on every surface and safety screening before content is published. See it in the product demo.

Data covenant

Our principles are the business model

Each commitment removes a revenue route conventional social platforms rely on — and the model is built without any of them.

No sale of personal data

Prohibited in the articles of association, amendable only by a 75% supermajority.

No advertising

No advertisers and no paid access to people. Organisers pay for tools, never for access.

No black-box generative AI

Relevance is deterministic and explainable. Machine learning is used only for safety screening, never for ranking or profiling.

What you tell us is what we see

No behavioural inference. Relevance draws only on what a person states.

Users own what they post

Binder hosts content but does not take ownership of it.

More than one profile

Dimensions let a person keep separate contexts without merging them.

Business model

Organisers pay. Attendees never do.

Revenue comes from the people who use Binder to run something. Organisers, venues and promoters pay for tools; attendees never pay for access to people. Paid tiers will be designed with partner organisers and launch once London reaches its first density milestone.
