Owning the technical architecture, product quality, and the engineering discipline that keeps Binder reliable as it scales.
For Trinity, queerness and science share a method: question inherited structures, resist false simplification, and stay open to what emerges through inquiry and collaboration. That method carries directly into Binder.
Trinity is a doctoral researcher in cosmoparticle physics at UCL, working across theory, particle physics, astrophysics, and large-scale data analysis. Their work includes advanced simulation frameworks, machine learning, contributions to major international experimental research projects, and peer-reviewed publications.
Beyond their academic work, they have built and deployed software across AI, data, and emerging technology ventures — developing LLM-based applications, reinforcement learning frameworks, and data-driven infrastructure. They have also worked directly on climate technology in collaboration with world government planning groups, with their team winning the Commonwealth Business Award for Sustainability in 2023.
As CTO, Trinity designed Binder's alignment algorithms and built the technical architecture behind them, alongside the platform's engineering as a whole. The intent isn't incremental improvement on an existing platform — it's architecture for a different kind of culture, one built on open-minded connection rather than performance. The premise is specific: when people feel genuinely safe and secure enough to be known online, they can find real support networks offline — and people who feel supported and secure have more capacity to work toward progress, not less. Binder is built to hold that complexity without collapsing people into static categories, making connection more adaptive, more generative, and more real.
